STAN L. KENTON

STAN L. KENTON Stan L. Kenton, 70, of McPherson, KS, peacefully passed away on April 2, 2025, at Pleasant View Home in Inman, KS. Arrangements are with Stockham Family Funeral Home, McPherson.

Stan was born on June 12, 1954, in McPherson to Harold and Margaret (Johnson) Kenton. He graduated from McPherson High School in 1972 and attended McPherson College. Stan worked as a machinist at CertainTeed Corporation for over 35 years before retiring in 2019.

He was an active member of the First Baptist Church and volunteered with the McPherson Food Bank. Stan enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Carol (Smith) Kenton; son Brian (Michelle) Kenton of Wichita; daughter Laura (James) Wilson of McPherson; four grandchildren; and his sister, Patricia Miller of Hutchinson.

A memorial service will be held at Stockham Family Funeral Home on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Memorial donations may be made to the McPherson Food Bank in care of the funeral home.
